U-FOLD

U-Fold is a frame consisting of wooden and upholstered panels that are placed around the sofa bed and of which the panels can be folded according to the circumstance. With 'air bnb' in mind the design was developed as a furniture piece that can be useful when a friend or family member comes over to visit and stays for a few nights. During the day the panels can be folded open to use them as a workspace to study or type on a laptop, while during the night all the panels can be folded back to create an intimate space around the sofa bed when sleeping. Even when nobody is visiting, U-Fold becomes a social spot in the living space where family members come together and enjoy their time with each other.
